Lea Michele Takes A Stand Against Horse-Drawn Carriages In New PETA Ad
In a new public service announcement for PETA, "Glee" star, Lea Michele, speaks out against NYC allowing horse-drawn carriages as a mode of transportation in the Big Apple.
The actress expresses her views on how these carriage horses are treated and the conditions in which they live.
She is calling on viewers to also take a stand and boycott horse-drawn carriages in Manhattan.

W Magazine’s inaugural ‘Movie Issue’ gives an exclusive first look at actress Rooney Mara who has been tapped to play Lisbeth Salander in the Hollywood remake of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo".
The February 2011 W cover girl was photographed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino in Stockholm.
“They shot me in the subway in L.A. In full hair and makeup with a motorcycle," she says of her audition for the role. "Everyday they had a new request. On a Monday morning, David [Fincher] called me in, and I said, ‘what do you want me to do with my hair now?’ I was at the end of my rope. He told me I had the part. I hadn’t even read the script yet.”

First Look At Andrew Garfield As Spider-Man
Columbia Pictures releases the first official image of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man.
The new costume has more blue in it than the ones in the Sam Raimi Spidey flicks. The chest symbol is also more stylized and there are new straps on the wrists.
The untitled 3D Spider-Man remake is set for release on July 3, 2012.
Matthew Fox Takes Us On His Journey To India With Operation Smile
Former "Lost" star Matthew Fox recently went to Guwahati, India volunteering for Operation Smile's medical mission to help children with clefts.
The actor met hundreds of children suffering from cleft lips and cleft palates who were born into poverty.
Operation Smile gives children whose families can't afford the corrective surgery, a chance at a normal life free of facial deformities.
“While in India with Operation Smile, I watched a little boy named Sarban receive a surgery that transformed his life,” he says. “I watched as he saw his new face in a mirror for the first time. It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. When you see the immediate physical change in a child with just one surgery, you know how much that means for a child’s life.”

Legendary musicians Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart visited "The Ellen Show" to make a major announcement.
The duo will be going on tour together, beginning March 20, 2011. Their Heart & Soul 2011 North American Tour tickets will go on sale starting Jan. 21!

'American Idol' Judges Reveal Wildest Moments So Far
Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Ryan Seacrest reveal some of the wildest "American Idol" auditions of the season.
A young man auditioning went topless, which prompted the male judges Randy and Steven to follow suit by removing their own shirts.
"Me and Steven jumped up, because we were like, 'You know what? We have to defend our honor in this moment,'" Randy admits. "We work out, too, dude.'"
Vince Vaughn Gushes About His Baby Daughter And Cdn Wife On 'Ellen'
"The Dilemma" star Vince Vaughn stopped into "The Ellen Show" today, gushing about fatherhood.
The actor and his Canadian-born wife Kyla recently welcomed a baby daughter, Locklynn, and he clearly couldn't be happier.
Ellen joked that he should start calling her by her name instead of "baby", to which he replied: "She'll have to learn. If I just call her "Baby" then she'll love the movie "Dirty Dancing" but she won't know her proper name. No one puts her in a corner."

With the good news that Michael Douglas' tumour is gone, the Oscar-winner and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones were in celebratory mode after the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.
The couple was all smiles at the star-studded Relativity Media and The Weinstein Company soirée.
The actor received a standing ovation when he took to the stage to present the award for best picture, and he was appreciative but joked with the crowd: "There's gotta be an easier way to get a standing ovation."

Regis Philbin Joins Long Line Of TV Greats Set To Retire This Year
After Oprah Winfrey, Larry King and Mary Hart recently announced their retirement, Regis Philbin is the latest TV great to reveal his departure.
On today's episode of "Live With Regis & Kelly", the morning TV host shocked the audience when he told them this would be his last season on the show.
He joins Oprah, who is enjoying her farewell season of "The Oprah Winfrey Show". But, Oprah isn't really retiring - since she just launched The Oprah Winfrey Network [OWN].
Plus Larry King hung up his nightly suspenders late last year, opening up his timeslot for Piers Morgan. But Larry isn't completely retired; he is still working on specials for CNN.
And long-time Entertainment Tonight host, Mary Hart, revealed that this is also her last season.

First Photo: Elton John And David Furnish Introduce Baby Zachary
Elton John and his Canadian-born husband, David Furnish, welcomed a new baby boy, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, on Christmas Day and this week they're introducing him to the world.
In this week's edition of US Weekly, the crooner and his other half share their baby album with adorable photos of their newborn son.
In the exclusive interview, Elton says he is "so awestruck" by the little guy.
"I've never felt anything like it in my life," the legendary musician admits.
And David adds that their baby boy already shares a love for music: "He's a content little guy... He just loves to be nurtured, cuddled, and sung to."
Meanwhile, Elton and David aren't the only celebrity couple who recently welcomed a baby via a surrogate.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban announced their happy news of the birth of their second daughter on his website on Monday: "Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret."
Their two-year old daughter Sunday Rose, is a big sister to the little one born through a gestational carrier at Nashville’s Centennial Womens Hospital on December 28, 2010.
"No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."
And Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick became the proud parents of twin girls - Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick - back in June 2009, also through a surrogate mother.

From sexy sequins to black leather, Anne Hathaway will soon be suiting up as Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises".
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story,” says the filmmaker.
Warner Bros. Pictures confirms the brunette beauty will play Selina Kyle in the "Dark Knight" sequel.
She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Batman.
Tom Hardy has also been added to the cast as Bane. The director says he's "excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.”

Rick - who took to the ski slopes with his love for the second time in his life while in Park City, Utah - teamed his leather bomber jacket with a cool yet, cozy trapper hat.
Meanwhile, Emmanuelle kept warm in a hooded down-filled coat with a wool toque underneath for added warmth.
The Montreal-born beauty - who is a member of the EMA Young Hollywood Board - is at Sundance host a Filter For Good Film Project.

Susan Boyle Sells 14 Million Albums In 14 Months
It's a great start to the New Year for Susan Boyle, who just received an award disc celebrating 14 million albums sold in 14 months.
On Friday the chanteuse was presented with the award in London where those who have worked with her on the two albums, "I Dreamed a Dream" and "The Gift", joined to celebrate.
The "Britain's Got Talent" star retains the title of the biggest selling Sony artist internationally, for the second consecutive year.
"Words can't describe how happy I am," she says. "Seeing the disc made it all so real. I've loved every minute and I can't wait to get back in to the studio again and for all the other exciting projects that 2011 will bring."
Simon Cowell adds: “I'm so happy for Susan, she is one of the most deserving artists I have ever worked with. 14 million records in 14 months is an incredible figure but then with Susan nothing surprises me!"
New Dad Elton John Gives Concert For A Good Cause
Elton John may be a new dad, but he took time out from daddy duty to perform an exclusive full-length concert for a good cause.
He belted out his hits at a fundraiser held at Ron Burkle’s legendary Green Acres Estate in Beverly Hills.
Some of the high profile guests included Rob Reiner, David Boies, Ted Olson, Jane Lynch and Lara Embry.
The over $3 million raised went to the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER), the sole sponsor of the federal court challenge to California’s Prop. 8, Perry v. Schwarzenegger.
